While all franchise companies provide some training, HouseMaster’s home inspection business training programs are truly in a class of their own. The Master Training Plan
Once all the franchise paperwork is finalized we get rolling! As part of your home inspection training, you will be given access to the HouseMaster InfoEx (our highly advanced intranet) where you will be introduced to
Right Track – an interactive “to do” list that helps step you through the process of setting up your business. You will also take our home inspection training primer on-line "Introduction to Home Inspections Training" even before you begin the formal classroom home inspection training.
Week 1
You and your staff are provided with specialized training on HouseMaster Market Advantages, proprietary office software, telephone marketing, HouseMaster’s 12-month marketing plan, risk management, and business management topics such as financial planning, budgets, and monthly reporting.
Marketing is the name of the game and HouseMaster spares no expense in developing your sales skills. To ensure you are ready to market your services, you will participate in lecture and role play sessions.
These sessions will give you the foundation needed to implement the HouseMaster Sales Strategy. No other home inspection franchise system such a commitment to your success.
Weeks 2 and 3
The second week and third week, or Practicum, is reserved for the all-important Home Inspection Training Technical Program. HouseMaster is the only company to offer home inspection training through a STATE APPROVED VOCATIONAL SCHOOL- The National Institute of Building Inspectors; NIBI®.
The HouseMaster Technical Staff established the National Institute of Building Inspectors in 1986 to provide the finest technical training and annual re-certification testing for HouseMaster inspectors. Since then, NIBI has become known as a premier training provider for the home inspection industry.
NIBI is a STATE APPROVED VOCATIONAL SCHOOL approved in most areas for licensing requirements or continuing education. As part of your HouseMaster franchise, NIBI classroom training is provided FREE, so there are no limits to how many trainees you may send. This is just one of the many ways we support your growth to become a multi-inspector operation.
The Learning Never Ends
To truly master the skills needed for success, your learning continues even after you leave your initial training. Each month you will have the opportunity to log on to a “webinar” or participate in a round table conference call with other HouseMaster franchisees to reinforce what you have learned and be introduced to new topics appropriate for your stage of development.
Training DVDs Reinforce Skills
The NIBI® Inspection Training DVD introduced in 2006 is a one of a kind instructional DVD focusing on the overall inspection process and the very vital area of Defect Recognition. The DVD will help prospective inspectors understand the true responsibilities of a home inspector before investing in training. The DVD will also be an excellent refresher for existing staff.
DISTANCE LEARNING: NIBI University
NIBI is one of the only inspector training organizations to provide true interactive distance learning. NIBI Distance Learning is ideal for preliminary training or re-training — or any time your inspector staff cannot take advantage of the classroom session. This exclusive training option gives you access to the same quality training wherever you have Internet access.
